North Carolina Regional Site

[A very young chocolate lab playing in the grass.]Welcome to the North Carolina puppy raisers regional site for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Our goal is to help potential guide dog puppies develop into well adjusted, mannerly young adults. We devote our love and time to raise a potential guide dog from eight weeks to maturity. During this time we teach manners and safely socialize our puppies with varied situations and everyday experiences. After completing additional formal training, pups we raise help blind men and women achieve greater dignity, security and independence.

If you have any questions or would like to participate, please contact us.

If you live outside of North Carolina and would like to see if there is a puppy raising region in your area, please check the directory of regional puppy raising programs or contact the Guiding Eyes Canine Development Center at (845) 878-3330 or http://volunteer.guidingeyes.org.
